Using the preview

You may browse the site, try its tap demonstration, download the fictional sample contact, customize card bundles, and create and manage a saved profile. The simulated tap is an on-screen animation and does not program, read, or activate a physical NFC card. Example names, education details, and projects do not describe a real student.

Product and pricing information

Classic bundle prices are $4.99, $9.99, and $14.99 for 1, 3, and 5 cards. Blackout introductory prices are $2.99, $6.99, and $9.99. All prices are in US dollars. Crossed-out comparisons show Classic prices, not a claimed former Blackout selling price. These are proposed one-time physical-card prices. Applicable taxes, pickup arrangements, availability, device compatibility, and any profile-service terms are disclosed before a live purchase. There is no delivery. Cancellation and refund terms are available in our Pickup & returns policy. No recurring billing is enabled.

Bundle personalization

Each bundle contains identical copies for one person. All cards share one name, graduation year, finish, and profile address. Mixing names, finishes, or profiles in a discounted bundle is not offered.

Temporary complimentary orders

A valid temporary promo code covers one complete bundle for one account, with no payment collected and no cash value. Selecting a bundle or saving a draft alone does not place an order. An order is placed only when the confirmation page shows it is confirmed. The code is available only while paid checkout remains disabled and may be withdrawn for future orders. Confirmed orders remain recorded in My Hoocard.

Placing a promo order requires your consent to publish your customized page, links, public contact details, and any uploaded résumé. Your account email is used privately for pickup updates. We retain the selected card design and an order-time profile snapshot for fulfillment. You can continue editing or unpublishing your site in My Hoocard. Responsible use

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass access restrictions, impersonate someone, or use content in a way that violates another person’s rights. Use only content and files you have the right to share. Do not impersonate another person, publish confidential information without permission, or upload harmful content. You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile and for controlling access to your sign-in account. You may remove your content and delete your profile in My Hoocard.

Independent identity and trademarks

Hoocard is an independent student networking concept. It is not affiliated with, approved by, sponsored by, or endorsed by the University of Virginia. References to UVA identify the intended student community. Classic cards feature the supplied architectural illustration and UVA class-year lettering. Hoocard does not claim University approval or endorsement. Artwork and brand references remain subject to applicable intellectual-property rights.

Company names and logos belong to their respective owners. They identify illustrative networking destinations only. Their appearance does not establish a partnership, endorsement, hiring relationship, customer relationship, or verified student outcome. This site does not guarantee interviews, employment, or professional results.

Third-party destinations

Your professional profile may link to external websites. Those websites control their own content, availability, terms, and privacy practices. The landing-page sample profile is fictional; saved profiles contain information supplied by their respective owners.

Saved profiles and sharing

Your sign-in account controls your profile. Its link stays fixed after creation to keep your card working. Saving a draft does not publish it. Publishing makes the content available to anyone with your profile link. You may update, unpublish, or delete your profile at any time. A confirmed complimentary order is prepared separately for pickup; publishing a website does not itself program a physical NFC card.

Availability and applicable rights

This demonstration may change or be withdrawn. Product concepts and sample content do not promise a launch date or continuous service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
